The Himalayan is one of the most beautiful cats with
its blue eyes and long silky fur. The Himalayan Persian
breed is a cross between the Siamese and the Persian. Himalayans
have long fur like Persians and the coloring of the Siamese. Their
bodies are light in color (almost pure white) with darker areas
called points. These areas are the ears, tail, feet, legs, and the
masked section of the face.
A Himalayan Persian Flame Point has an off-white body, and the points are a
beautiful, rich red or orange color. The cat's nose and the pads of its
feet can be either a yellowish-red or flesh color. The eyes are an
intense shade of blue.
A Himalayan Cream Point
has a light cream colored body, and the points
are a pale shade of brownish-yellow. This cat has beautiful deep blue
eyes, and its nose and the pads of its feet can be various shades of
pink.
It is the cats disposition that really sets them apart. It has
been my experience that flame point kittens are more in tune with there
owners needs than the other color points. The Cream Point is the
same to degree but the Flame Point seems to know exactly what you need
to make your day better. Because of this, the Flame Point is
especially suited for disabled or recovering patients.
The Flame Point is also a single person cat. They will want to
bond to a specific person and cater to them. It is almost like
having a dog. Your flame point will be waiting for you when you
get home, they will come when you call them by name and will follow you
around where ever you go in the house. They are so much a part of
your life that they will want to be with you even when you are on the
computer so plan to have a sitting post next to your computer and make
sure to give kitty some attention too.
These precious little darlings are a joy to behold and a treasure for
those fortunate enough to discover them. If you are looking for a
companionthat will think of you as their world, drop us a line and
we can discuss how you can have a flame point just in time for
Christmas. That's right, our last litter just born on Sunday October 26
will be available in eight weeks or on the 23rd of December.
